The Grand Mosque of the Prophet is one of the religious projects that has pleased us at the Khalid Zabran Foundation, as it bears the responsibility of business and the integrity of art in one.
Our specialized team undertook the complete finishing of the mosque, jumping from scratch — from plastering and painting to the finest details of Islamic decoration on the ceiling and mihrab — within limited parameters that required our team to refine their creativity in finding effective and beautiful solutions for thoughtful coverage.
The project was not just a construction project – it was a responsibility in every member of our team, because every touch in one of God's houses deserves to be of the highest standard.
Challenges we faced and analyzed professionally
Islamic decorations
The project owner wanted luxurious Islamic decorations befitting the House of God, but the available budget did not allow for expensive traditional materials.
Solution: hand drawing
We relied on the technique of direct hand-painting on the walls instead of carved plaster, using special paints with a gold and bronze effect — we saved 60% of the cost while maintaining the same luxurious visual effect.
Visual identity
The mosque did not have a clear visual identity, and the project owner wanted an authentic Islamic character that reflects the high status of the mosque without exaggeration or affectation.
